Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service or making a purchase through the EtchGuard website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
EtchGuard reserves the right to update these terms without prior notice — the latest version will always be published on this website.

Services

Etching services are available in-centre or mobile (travel surcharges may apply).
Each service includes permanent etching of a registration number or VIN, warning labels, and a digital certificate.
Service duration is typically 30–45 minutes per vehicle but may vary depending on size, condition, or access.
Clients must provide accurate information (registration, VIN, contact details) to ensure correct stencil production.

Fleet & Partner Programs

Your data is shared only when necessary:

With insurance partners to confirm etched vehicles
With law enforcement for theft recovery
With approved technicians or service centres for booking fulfilment

EtchGuard does not sell or disclose information to unrelated third parties.

Customer Responsibilities

Ensure vehicles are parked safely and accessible at the scheduled time.
Keep pets and bystanders clear during etching.
Review work before sign-off and retain your certificate for insurance purposes.
Immediately report any damage or issues after service completion.

Payments

All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
Payment is required before or at completion of service.
Online payments are processed through secure third-party gateways (e.g. Peach Payments or PayFast).
EtchGuard does not store or have access to customer credit-card details.

Warranty & After-Care

12-month workmanship warranty covers application defects only.
The etching itself is permanent and not covered by warranty once complete.
If glass is replaced by an insurer or approved partner, re-etching is provided free of charge under the Re-Etch Program (V.A.P.).
Customers should avoid abrasive cleaners on etched surfaces.

Limitations of Liability

EtchGuard is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from misuse, unauthorised modification, or negligence after service completion.
Our total liability is limited to the original purchase or service amount paid.

Intellectual Property

All EtchGuard trademarks, logos, and written content remain the property of EtchGuard (Pty) Ltd and may not be used without written consent.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes shall be handled through appropriate local jurisdiction.
